Paxton
 Portraits      Wednesday, 12/24/08

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I got to spend time with my friends, and family. I did ALL my Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. 2 Malls ( Galleria and Northpark) Restoration Hardware, Target, Barnes and Noble. 5 hours.
Im a pro, I do not recommend others trying this. I am now at the airport heading for the traditional New Years Hawaii trip. Maybe Ill see Obama. Have a great holiday everyone!!!!!!!

I had to share these Christmas photos of little Paxton. He joined us just in time for Christmas, only two weeks old here. Paxtons mom, Rosita, was so good with him and brought these Christmas goodies. He didnt mind at all being stuffed in the stocking, but after that he was getting less and less tolerant. We had nothing but time, and as he finally dozed, he was the perfect model.

This is one of my favorites, its so sweet and innocent. Could there be a better gift?

There is no doubt, this boy is going to be spoiled. She watched over him at every second and did not like him being upset at any time. I assured her he would never remember the crazy things we were doing.

I love this photo also. Babies feet are the cutest.

The entire family, so very photogenic.

Snow Days
 Crazy Dog Lady      Tuesday, 12/16/08

Today it snowed!!!! There was no evidence on the ground, but I saw it floating through the air all day. I had snow and ice all over my car. For whatever reason, cold weather just perks me up. I have energy and it makes me feisty. I LOVE it. Not to mention I have some awesome cold weather boots. So does Dawna, we share a passion for all boots. Cowboy boots, snow boots, suede boots, you name it. My mother sent me these photos of some of my first snow days as a pup. I remember building a snowman and I KNOW WE HAVE PHOTOS, however they can not be found. I probably have them in my stash somewhere. I was always outdoors as a kid, and you can see the snow did not stop me here. In the photo is my first dog, Woo Woo. Dont make fun, it was a great name, and all I could say at the time. Both my dogs now love the cold and I could not keep them in today, even though it was below freezing most of the day.

I think dogs just love being outside and when the weather changes they embrace it. Last year, I did the calendar of Havanese photos from the many sent in by various owners. It was such a success, we sold close to 300 and raised $4,000 for Havanese rescue. This year I did another one, and WHOA! I was emailed over 700 photos. I had to choose from 700 different photos of peoples beloved babies. This was not easy. It did, however, make for a very fun calendar. I am posting the individual pages here. If you would like to order one, you can email me at the email link at the top of the blog. It's $20 and shipping is $4-$8 depending on how many you order.

You can see in these photos how outgoing Havanese are. Many here right at home, in snow, at the lake, as long as they are with us. This is such a small representation of the many great photos sent in. I wish I could use them all. I will be making a slideshow of ALL photos later to post. This year, all profits are going to purchase harness and supplies to send with rescue dogs when they are adopted. There are so many items a new owner needs and we are going to help wtih those donations. Thanks to everyone who continues to support this!

And the bottoms will look more or less like this:

all I want for christmas is a treat
 Crazy Dog Lady      Sunday, 12/14/08

Today they got a treat AND a walk. 80 degrees today, 30 tomorrow. Welcome to Texas.

I have a ton of blogging to do this week, Sessions, and trips and super hot finds! Goldie doesnt look as pissed in the first one, not her normal "I refuse to smile AND be humiliated" look.

jackson
 Portraits      Tuesday, 12/2/08

Meet Jackson, two weeks old at the time of these photos. Jackson was adorable, with his full head of hair and cuddly roles. I don't think we give newborns enough credit, they are much more observant than we think. When Nicole and her husband brought Jackson in for his shoot, they were concerned he might pee on the background. I assured her ALL of the babies wizz everywhere, do not worry, these backgrounds and blankets are washed many times during a week. In fact, we have had some babies set records and no way could cute little Jackson go that much. Think again, he must be a future athlete. He heard us challenging him and he was prepared to meet that challenge. I am not sure if he broke any records, but he had his parents on their toes. He did not like being naked either. Can you blame him? He knows these photos will one day come back to haunt him.

He was a trooper and we captured some adorable shots.

I love this expression he has. Deep in thought??? "Should I wizz on mom ONE more time??? Or give her a break?" haha

This is one of my favorites.
