I know I am a slacker in posting since I got home. I am just tired. HA. Recovering from all that bread and wine.
And still battling this cold. Two weeks is enough already. I went to see a French doc in Paris because my throat was still swollen and just had the crud. He was so cute. Asking all these medical questions with his sexy accent. I was ok with being sick that day. :) The meds he gave me worked.. temporarily. I think they just took the sore throat pain away until I ran out of them. So back in tomorrow. Doesn't hold me down though, things to do, people to see!
I love that the weather is warm. I am OK with 95 days! Woo hoo! I love summer time, the sun is good for your soul.
On to Paris.. .
Here is my new outfit that I LOVE. Doesn't look as good on me as the runway model.. but hey I have been busting my butt in the gym so I am so happy everything is starting to fit again. I realize I am standing in front of the greatness that is the future Roberto Cavalli store, however the outfit is Chanel. My first Chanel outfit.. awwww. its a moment.
I took these with my new point and shoot, Canon G9. This thing rocks, it has a ton of manual settings for those that know what they are doing. A tad bulky but worth it!
The tower at night.. we were right underneath it. It is so breathtaking up close and lit up.
I am going to try and post my first video blog tonight. I will at least shoot it and pray the editing is not unbearable.
Im off to the gym now.. starting doing that escalator cardio machine. It got the best of me yesterday.. I am going to teach it a lesson today! Or maybe next week when I am not coughing.
Here are a few quick snapshots. I have more photos coming later.. just have to make time to upload. So much to do so little time.. I did get to visit the Lanvin Boutique and Fell In Love. Again. Sigh.
This is part of our adorable room in this little Hotel we love on Cambon st.
Our patio.. the weather is so great its nice to sit out here and read.. or have wine..
We had lunch at the Eiffel Tower yesterday at Jules Verne.
Great food and view!
I was forced to eat things like this lobster..
And drink this champagne! I am living on Sucrets, Daquil and Champagne. I can't believe I am still sick! I am going to try and score some good french meds. They have all the good stuff we can't get at home.
The Roberto Cavalli store is STILL NOT OPEN! It's been over a year. Surely its not going to take up the five stories this sign does. I wonder if someone is living back there and sold their view. If it IS going to be 5 stories, Im in trouble when it does open.
And the BEST reason to come to Europe... the PIZZA. You just cant get pizza like this at home.
I'm jetting over seas today. I will give you a hint as to where I am going. I took this photo a year or so ago.
Ill be on twitter so you can track all the great things I am doing.
FINALLY!!!! The slideshows I made from my Africa Photos. They are not the same. I split them in two, because one was too long. If you are on a MAC, these will not work. That sucks, I know, because I am on a mac. :)
I will embed a show into the blog tomorrow or later tonight for my fellow smart, I mean Mac users.
Click the links below, they will ask if you want to download it, say yes. It will take a couple of minutes to download. If you are on dial up, maybe go get lunch while it transfers... haha.. The images are in random order.. so don't skip the second show, its not sloppy seconds. :) There will be a quiz!!!!
I never posted this last weekend, but Stogie won Best of Breed in Denton last Saturday. He also won today in Oklahoma. Both shows had a big entry, so it was a nice win. I didn't make it to the show this weekend since I am fighting a nasty cold. I have to be on my A game for Paris next week.
I just picked up the winner from Lois, who shows him. I thought he looked hillarious. I am sure there is some reasonable explanation behind all of these rubber bands in his hair. Maybe so he doesn't chew on his hair.. or get it in the food and water. She does know he is coming home to ME right? I'm happy when they don't eat their own poop.
Check out the dogs new website. Havanista Havanese There are plenty of photos and Ill try to keep it updated with current news on his wins. I will also add it under the links section at the top of the blog.
This is Callen.. a newborn who visited the studio recently. He was almost 5 weeks.... so he was becoming pretty active.
Cute as ever... you have to love those big eyes. He did NOT like the flash. Everytime the flash went off, I got a dirty look. How rude of us to undress the poor boy then flash bright lights in his face. It was worth it, he was a good model and he will only be this little once.
I LOVE this pose. Tell me he is not smiling and posing, such a ham.
Those big eyes...
There is nothing cuter than baby feet.
On another note... I added a pinned post to the top. Its my "tweets" on twitter. It will somewhat keep you updated when Im not blogging day to day. I decided to pinn it, since I am going to Paris next week. It will provide a great way to keep up with all the trouble ( shopping, haha) I am getting into.
This post used to be pinned and now its not.. so I thought I would explain. It is my recent twitter posts.. if you are on twitter.. you can follow the link below to "follow" me. Right down the yellow brick road... It's the cold.. Im delirious.
I just got annoyed seeing it at the top every time. So now it wil be here in the archives.. but always keeping track of my tweets. :)
I removed the stream... to go to my twitter page.. click below.
I have no problem with retouching photos. I not only condone it, I encourage, demand and blackmail others to guarantee it's done. Most of my photographer friends have an unwritten code, no image goes public unretouched.
I blame retouching for letting myself get so out of shape.. haha. A false reality... looking good in photos. UNTIL I SAW A BUNCH OF UNRETOUCHED PHOTOS!!!!!! Photos my other friends would have deleted, bound by girlfriend code. I have now been in the gym and working out for ONE month. I am not sure how much weight I have lost, but I have gone down almost one size. I am wearing things I have not worn in over a year. I have a long way to go, and am enjoying my new found energy and motivation.
That brings me to this entertaining video. I subscribe to all of Austin Youngs videos on You Tube. They are very creative and so damn funny! Visit his You Tube page and see the Madonna spoofs. ( They will be appreciated more if you view her original You Tubes).
I SO relate to this video.. I KNOW all those celebrities are retouched as well as they SHOULD BE! As long as I have photoshop, I will never need Botox!!!!!
